Allegro Show

The Allegro Council’s final show of the year, which took place in the Dresdner Hall, was an incredible, student-run showcase of some of Lawrenceville’s talented musicians. The array of music in the performance was impressive, ranging from 2010 throwbacks and classical pieces to original songs written by the School’s very own musicians. The show marked a last for some students who will be graduating soon and a first for others who were new to Allegro performances. Many moments transformed the show into one that the audience will never forget, including a “promposal” for one of the performers and Gerise Kelly’s ’27 original, catchy song dedicated to her sister. Arisa Okamura ’25, who played the violin in a duet with cellist Jenny Chen ’26, mentioned that her experience working with other musicians was “really fun…especially since the orchestra hasn’t met as a group [ever since] the Spring Orchestra Concert.” Allegro shows, which are open performance opportunities for all, have never failed to connect the community, and this final one exceeded these standards.
