What Your Bath House Order Says about You

The Bath House Cafe at Lawrenceville is certainly one of the hottest spots on campus. Whether you are there to do work, to socialize, or to eat, it is a welcoming space for everyone. As a café, there are some very delicious comestibles you can order there. The most popular ones are the buffalo chicken flatbread, the warmed chocolate chip cookie, the brownie, the burger, and the Caprese panini. 

If you order the buffalo chicken flatbread, you like food with a little bit of zing and spice. It gives you both strong flavors and familiar warm cheesiness. You like a classic pizza, but you are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You crave a carb-filled meal, but with a bit of protein in the chicken to make yourself feel a bit healthier. You are fun, adventurous, and social; you love ordering it even when you’re not that hungry, so you can share slices with friends. 

If you order a warm chocolate chip cookie, you love the simple and classic joys of life. You order it warm rather than at room temperature because you want it to feel like a freshly homemade delicacy. It is tasty and comforting, but also nostalgic for your childhood and life away from Lawrenceville. The cookie is truly the most rewarding sweet treat after a long day.

If you order a brownie, you are, simply put, a major chocolate lover. The rich fudgy dessert is a dense treat, and you love indulging in it when you need a rush of energy. You love everything in life, not just food, that is intense and full of flavor. You are bold and confident, just like the brownie itself, and you are unafraid to enjoy all the pleasures our world has to offer.

If you order the burger, you are likely a male member of the Lawrenceville community. You want a hearty,fast, protein-filled meal that is also wonderfully delicious. You crave beef, which is rare at Tsai Commons or Abbott Dining Room but do not want to trek all the way across the street to the Lawrenceville Sandwich Co. to get one of their burgers. Like the burger, you are spirited and dynamic.  

If you order the Caprese panini, you are likely a female member of the Lawrenceville community, except two of you (and Bath House Manager Deb Miliaresis definitely knows who you two are). You enjoy the luxuries of life and are reminded of a warm summer day when you consume the mozzarella, tomato, and basil perfectly pressed between two pieces of bread. You love fresh sophisticated flavors but are not too flashy in your choices. It is a classic dish that may make you feel a bit healthier than eating some of the other, more starchy meals the Bathhouse has to offer.
