The Players You Need to Dominate Fantasy Football

Fantasy Football fever is in the air, and everyone is excited. Middle-school boys join over 10 different fantasy leagues to compete with friends, parents jump into leagues with their children. Even old folks click on the TV during preseason games to preview potential candidates for their future teams. Fantasy Football creates a platform for all kinds of people to bond by drafting rosters of their favorite stars from around the National Football League (NFL) and getting Fantasy points based on how well their selected players play in real-life NFL games. Fantasy leagues have grown over time, with intricate rules around how and when players can obtain points. With the NFL season just beginning, drafting and trading for the best players is the number one way to claim victory in Fantasy. Here is some insight into who should be the most impactful Fantasy players for the 2024 NFL season.

As one of the most prolific point-producing positions on a Fantasy team, running backs provide consistent and valuable yardage during weekly games that help fans maximize their chances of winning. Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers and Breece Hall of the New York Jets are two of the league’s premier running backs. McCaffrey’s average of around 20.3 points each game, in addition to his ability to stay healthy throughout the entire season, led to him putting up 324.5 points last season, the most at his position. At 23 years old, third- year player. Hall is a fairly new face in the Fantasy landscape. Last season Hall provided 290.5 Fantasy points through rushing yards, touchdowns, and catches, and is expected to improve upon his performance next season. Hall may not match McCaffrey’s output yet, but he certainly has established himself as a valuable player in Fantasy.

Wide receivers are often the players who get the most credit from fans, as they are the ones catching the football out of mid-air and sprinting into the endzone for touchdowns. Two wide receivers that are looking especially dangerous this season are CeeDee Lamb and A.J. Brown. Lamb plays for the Dallas Cowboys and is one of the most well-known players in his conference. Last year, Lamb caught 12 touchdowns en route to putting up 403.2 Fantasy points, the most out of any player. Lamb helped lead his team to a 12-5 record, and he is looking to replicate his explosive 2023 season
year. One of Lamb’s rivals, Brown, is also looking to build his Fantasy legacy on the Philadelphia Eagles. He has created a name for himself over the past few years in Philadelphia, but the 2023 season proved to be his best as Brown accumulated 289.6 points. With the Eagles already full of talent, Brown’s physical play style should, yet again, spur both Philadelphia and your fantasy team to numerous victories. Both Lamb and Brown are working on solidifying their status as football legends, while also being quality picks for any Fantasy team.

Last but not least, the players who make a football team go round, quarterbacks, are a necessity to any
Fantasy team. Two of the top picks this year are Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, both looking to build on their prior seasons. Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, produced 356.8 points last season by passing for 23 touchdowns and rushing for 15. Hurts led his team to a 10-1 record to start the 2023 season and has returned to showcase his leadership on the field. Allen has been the top Fantasy quarterback for the past 4 seasons now, and last season he produced 329 by passing for 29 touchdowns and matching Hurts' tally of 15 rushing touchdowns, a record for quarterbacks. Any Fantasy manager would want players with Allen’s game-changing athleticism or Hurts’ quality to headline their team.

The real key to a successful Fantasy season is to retain players who produce consistently good performances, while also keeping players who can potentially explode for huge point totals. All of the players listed above fit in both categories and are just some of the options for
this season. With numerous games happening every week during the NFL season, be sure to keep a
close eye on each and every player’s performance to make sure your team stays on top.
